About Us
Founded in December 2017, eLifeBook was created with one simple purpose: to give foster children a safe place to preserve their memories, milestones, and important documents. Inspired by real foster care stories like Victor Sims’ journey, we recognized how easily a child’s history can be lost when moving between homes.
Choosing eLifeBook means choosing a future where no foster child’s story is forgotten. With our platform, families and case managers can
Why Choose us
Safeguarding the memories of children in Foster care is our passion.
In December of 2017 my foster daughter came to live with us. While talking to her first case manager, Victor, we began discussing a journaling app that I was currently developing. He became very excited about the benefits that such an app could provide to children in foster care. In Florida there is a requirement that a hardcopy Jottli be kept for children, but it is difficult to maintain and easy to lose. By offering foster children an electronic alternative which would store their memories in a safe, cloud based environment we could safeguard their memories from loss. Victor especially loved this idea as he was raised in the foster system and has very little memory or memorabilia from the first eleven
years of his life.
Jottli is compatible with iOS and android operating systems and is optimized for use on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. All types of media including text, video, picture and voice files may be used in journal entries. Documentation is uploaded to the child’s journal for safe storage.
